Backing up what Thaddeus Herrmann said in the Pro-Ams panel discussion, internet radio could crumble under the complexity of licensing laws according to an article in the Guardian…

Martin Stiksel of Last.fm is interviewed about the situation in England:

“Where we’re standing, it’s not only more complicated, but also more expensive,” he said. “It’s an absolute nightmare in the grand scheme of things. We are further away from a simple licensing model – the sort of thing FM radio has – than ever before.”
